Korean Central Television (조선중앙방송) Korean Central News Agency Pyongyang, March 1 The US and the south Korean bellicose forces finally kicked off large-scale war exercises against the DPRK, going against the unanimous aspiration and demand of the people at home and abroad for the peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.A spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry Tuesday issued the following statement: Key Resolve and Foal Eagle joint military exercises go to prove once again that the US hostile policy to hinder the peaceful development of the DPRK in every way and stifle it by force of arms remains unchanged. They are the US exercises for a war of aggression against the DPRK to put pressure upon the East of the Asian Continent and thus put the whole of the Korean Peninsula under its military control. They are exercises for a nuclear war involving huge nuclear offensive means of the US now under way according to an operational plan for making a preemptive nuclear attack on the DPRK. The US is talking about “provocations” from someone but the on-going joint military exercises cannot but be viewed as provocations. Given the fact that the international community unanimously expresses serious concern over the tense situation on the Korean Peninsula, this saber-rattling is itself a blatant provocation. DPRK North Korea Nordkorea Pyongyang, February 3 (KCNA) — Pyongyangites enjoyed happy lunar New Year′s Day. An endless stream of visitors flowed to the statue of President Kim Il Sung on Mansu Hill, carrying floral baskets and flowers. The Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Exhibition was crowded with visitors to see the immortal flowers. Citizens visited their teachers, elders, relatives and friends to exchange lunar New Year greetings with beautiful flowers and bouquets bought at flower shops and stalls on streets. Working people and school youth and children had folk games and sports and amusement games, conspicuously decorating the capital city on the lunar New Year′s Day. Citizens also enjoyed a pleasant time at the Central Zoo and the Taesongsan Fun Fair while performances were given at theatres before full house.
